Azra Manori is an Associate at Hummingbird Lawyers with a specialization in Entertainment, Business, and Real Estate.
In her Entertainment Law practice, Azra represents a myriad of clients including artists, managers, production companies/independent producers, content creators and other entertainment professionals. Azra offers a variety of legal services in support of idea conception, rights acquisitions and development from initial licensing through to distribution. With her own personal entertainment background in California and Toronto, Azra has a genuine passion for safeguarding the rights and interests of fellow creatives. As a value add, Azra is able to leverage her transferable skillset from her other practices areas (business and real estate) to offer a comprehensive approach to assisting clients.
In her business law practice, Azra focuses on mergers and acquisitions, with significant experience working with small business owners and franchisees on asset and share purchases and sales, and providing practical legal solutions tailored to the needs of entrepreneurs, small businesses, and growing companies.
With a hands-on approach, Azra assists clients through every stage of the transaction, including due diligence, drafting and negotiation, and navigating regulatory requirements. She strives to make the process as smooth and straightforward as possible for clients, who appreciate Azra’s clear communication and commitment to helping them achieve their business goals while protecting their interests.
As part of her corporate practice, Azra advises clients on corporate organization and restructuring, helping businesses establish solid foundations and adapt to evolving needs.
Azra actively participates in independent film projects as both an Executive and Associate Producer, leveraging these experiences to deepen her practical understanding of the entertainment industry and enhance her ability to support clients in this sector. In addition she is the band manager for Slow Wild, applying her organizational and strategic skills to support the band’s creative endeavors and career development.
